Being Beloved



 

For my project I chose to use an old picture of myself and edit it to make it darker but highlight the white and make it as brght as possible to compare it to Being Beloved. Throughout the book of Beloved, she is portrayed as a nice girl who returns to her home 18 years after her mother had murdered her. I chose to use this picture because at first glance she looks nice and sweet but when you look deeper you realize shes not all that sweet. She has this look in her eyes that shows something underneath all of the sweetness. I feel like this relates to the book because it shows Beloved 2 sides.
